FlightControl ®
Plus goose
repellent was developed for the turf management industry to deter geese
from congregating in and around golf courses, ponds, office and
commercial complexes, athletic fields, recreational facilities,
residential areas and parks.
FlightControl ® Plus is naturally occurring
and is not harmful to plants, mammals or birds, when used according to
the label directions.
FlightControl ® Plus mixes easily with water,
and is easy to apply with standard spray equipment. The compound is
persistent, providing long-lasting repellency.

How does
FlightControl ® Plus work?
Two Levels of Deterrence:
- Anti-feedant (consequence) - Geese experience a strong,
harmless, but very effective gut reaction if they eat the treated
turf
- Visual Warning (threat) - Geese see the compound in the
ultraviolet light spectrum
|
|
|
Geese have the
unique ability to see in the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum of light
in addition to the spectrum in which humans see. It is the UV spectrum
in which they see FlightControl ® Plus on the
turf. The appearance of the compound is unnatural and uninviting to the
geese and they avoid the area. Combine the UV factor with the intestinal
reaction they experience if they do sample the turf and the geese are
quickly conditioned to stay away! |

Product
Performance - How long will a FlightControl ® Plus
application last?
- Weatherproof - will not be removed by normal precipitation, or
degrade in sunlight. Active ingredient is virtually insoluble in
water
- Treatment will last for several months when grass is dormant
- Persistence may be impacted by turf growth rate - Product will
last through 1 or 2 mowing cycles
- FlightControl ® Plus can be tank-mixed
with a plant growth regulator to control growth rates and extend
time between mowings

Geese Response
- Retreatment frequency will vary depending on persistence of
geese
- Geese typically leave within 2 days of initial application
- Two to three exposures condition geese to avoid treated area for
extended periods
